Thursday 12th July. The Director General of the bpma, Gordon Glenister was rushed to hospital this afternoon after being hit by a car in central London.
Gordon had a lucky escape with nothing worse than lacerations and bruising. He was hit by the car in Southampton Row at about 2 pm this afternoon and flung up onto its bonnet. The Director General was taken to hospital following nearly 30 minutes of treatment at the scene.
Fortunately Gordon was found to be not seriously injured after extensive tests and is due to be released from hospital later tonight.
He told PPD’s Nigel Bailey this evening that he “felt very shaken and sick but lucky to be alive”.
Our thoughts and best wishes go out to you Gordon.
