PPD Cup 2012 – who will be this years industry champs?

Due to popular demand Promotional Product Distributor Magazine will once again be holding holding a 5-a-side football competition this summer.
The first annual PPD Football Cup was won in a keenly contested tournament by SPS, with LSI taking the ladies title.
The highly anticipated 2012 tournament will be held on Thursday 21st June 2012 at Goals Soccer Centre, Star City, Birmingham. Team registration is at 10.00 am with kick-off at 11.00 am. The tournament is expected to finish at about 3.30 pm with a short awards presentation ceremony.
This years competition will also feature an afternoon Plate competition for those who teams knocked out early on.
Tournament organiser Nigel Bailey said “PPD is once again delighted to be holding such a great competition. The initial response last year was great and there was certainly a lot of rivalry out there! Are looking forward to a fantastic day”

Distributors and suppliers within the promotional products industry (no ringers) are invited to put together teams of five players, plus up to two roll-on/off subs, for what promises to be the most talked about event of the summer.
There are separate competitions for men and women. Teams will play in a league format with the top two teams then going on to participate in the knock-out stages. Each game will take 15 minutes, playing to FA small sided soccer rules.
Goals Soccer Centre at Star City is located right at the heart of the motorway network with easy access from most of the country and free parking right outside the venue. There is full on-site catering and a bar. The pitches are the latest state-of-the-art 3G pitches, there are full changing facilities. The tournament will be run with fully qualified referees so be warned!!
There are dozens of on-site plasma screens showing live results and tables, results fixtures and pictures will be available on-line both pre and post event on a dedicated web site.
All participants will receive a medal and sports bottle, and the winners will take away the PPD Football Cup!
