Code helps you to capture all the vital info you need

ORGANISERS of the Trade Only National Show have announced that all stands at next year’s event will display a QR Code tag to help exhibitors.
The announcement comes as the only UK national promotional products show, now in its sixth year, gears up for its biggest event ever.
Gail Kilcoyne, Exhibition Manager for Trade Only, said: “This new development at the show will benefit both visitors and exhibitors and help to enhance their whole show experience.”
A QR (Quick Response) code is a specific matrix barcode that can be read by dedicated QR readers, smartphones and other devices.
The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, URL, phone numbers or other data.
Code readers are often pre-installed on new smartphones but can be downloaded for free if not.
Created by Toyota subsidiary Denso-Wave in 1994, the QR code was designed to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.
Nigel Bailey, Event Director for Trade Only comments: “When you scan a QR code with your smartphone, you can link straight to digital content on the web and save information.
“The ability of QR codes to connect businesses with each other and to multimedia digital content is very useful.
“Distributors will be able to scan codes from the stands as they walk around the show and save information on companies they are especially interested in.”
The Trade Only National Show, which takes place at the Ricoh Arena Coventry on January 26 and 27, 2012 has recently extended into the adjacent Ibex Exhibition Halls , increasing floor space by 30%.
Gail Kilcoyne added: “With the show heading for a sell-out, we are – as usual – working flat out to deliver a great event.
“We expect to able to announce more exciting developments in the near future.”
