Presidential change at BAPP

The China Office’s Michel Deboudt recently succeeded Alex De Bruyne as President of the BAPP (Belgian Association of Promotional Products). Having plied his trade in the promo products industry for over 30 years, flitting between distributor and supplier endeavors, the 55 year old also served as BAPP’s vice president for three years.

Founded in 2000, the BAPP tackles the defense, promotion and professionalisation of business gifts and promotional items. In addition, they hold a membership within the EPPA (European Promotional Products Association).

Concerning his new position, Mr Deboudt explained, “As the link between the members and customers, the role of the President holds great responsibility. I think it is time for me to share my own know-how to help companies in the sector. I believe that the BAPP has a key role to play in promoting product media.

“It is the interdependence of suppliers, distributors and end customers that makes a project successful”, he continued. “The role of the association is to bring together all the forces. The members of the BAPP should be recognised as key partners for the realisation of product media campaigns. The message I would like to promote entering my presidency is: ‘Life is a gift’.”

Michel commenced his post back in June and will continue his presidency for the next three years.
