Over two days earlier this month, the Promotional Gift Award’s expert jury deliberated and carefully chose 42 winning products and campaigns, narrowed down from an original 229 entries.
The competition demonstrates how creatively corporate messages can be conveyed using haptic advertising. This was illustrated through memos with electrostatic staying power, letting customer relations grow using a fruit tree and foldable/reusable to-go mugs addressing the target group in a sustainable manner.
Michael Mätzener from the Swiss promotional products agency, diewerbeartikel GmbH, Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH’s Karin Froeter, the managing shareholder of WA Media GmbH, Michael Scherer and Martin Zettl (organiser of the promotional products show ‘marke[ding]’) felt, smelt, tasted, listened to and tinkered with the submitted items to judge the clever and creative entries.
Winners were selected from the seven categories: Giveaways, Communicative Products, Custom-Made Designs, Best Practice, Merchandising, Premium Products and Customising Technologies. Also, a special prize was awarded to the promotional products collection of Dicke & Partner which was developed for the insurance company, Continentale Versicherung.
The award ceremony of the Promotional Gift Award 2018 will be staged on March 21, 2018 at the HAPTICA® live ‘18, situated at the World Conference Center Bonn. All of the award-winning products will be showcased there in their own exhibition.
